Jon SalterLegal Executive, Crime Department

Experience and Achievements

Having completed his Law Degree with Honours in 2005, Jon embarked on a career at the Bar of England & Wales, and was admitted as a member of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple. He graduated from the Inns of Court School of Law (now City Law School) in 2006.

Taking up his first position in 2007, Jon started in a firm specialising in Criminal Law. His role entailed a considerable amount of Police Station attendances, alongside preparing files for the Magistrates’ Court, Crown Court and Prison Law departments.

Jon has been fortunate enough to cover every type of criminal offence that is on the statute books and in common law.

Later in 2007, Jon also started to work in Family and Child Law, gaining experience of both Public and Private Law.

In 2010, Jon expanded his legal qualifications and became a Graduate Member of the Institute of Legal Executives (now the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, CILEx). He is also presently undertaking a distance learning Master’s degree in International Human Rights Law.

Jon has been described by one District Judge as a ‘very able advocate’ and by a High Court Judge as a ‘commendable representative’.
