Fees

As per the Solicitors Regulation Authority’s (SRA) Transparency Rules, we are pleased to provide you with information regarding the fees associated with immigration Home Office applications. This will enable you to make informed decisions about the costs involved in your immigration matter. Please find the details below:

  1. Application Fees:
    • The Home Office charges various application fees for different immigration categories, such as visa applications, settlement applications, and naturalisation applications.
    • The specific fees will depend on the type of application you are making, the immigration route, and your circumstances.
  2. Fee Structure:
    • Home Office fees are subject to change, and it is important to check the latest fee schedule on the Home Office website or consult with our firm for up-to-date information.
    • The application fees usually consist of a base fee for the main application and additional fees for any dependents included in the application.
    • Some applications may also require payment of the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS), which covers access to the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK.
    • It is essential to note that the Home Office fees are non-refundable, even if the application is unsuccessful.
  3. Legal Fees:
    • In addition to the Home Office application fees, our firm charges professional legal fees for our services in assisting with your immigration matter.
    • Our legal fees will depend on the complexity of your case, the services provided, and the level of legal representation required.
    • We will provide you with a clear breakdown of our legal fees during our initial consultation or as part of our engagement process.
  4. Disbursements:
    • Disbursements are additional costs incurred during the immigration process, such as translation services, courier fees, or document authentication fees.
    • These costs vary depending on the specific requirements of your case.
  5. VAT:
    • Please note that all fees mentioned above are subject to Value Added Tax (VAT) at the prevailing rate, where applicable.

We are committed to providing transparent and fair pricing for our immigration services. As each case is unique, we encourage you to schedule an initial consultation to discuss your specific circumstances and obtain a tailored cost estimate.

Should you have any questions regarding the fees or require further information, please do not hesitate to contact our office. We are here to assist you and ensure that you have a clear understanding of the costs associated with your immigration Home Office application.

VAT

Charging VAT in relation to immigration matters can be complex as it may depend on where you live and what immigration permission you have. We will confirm whether VAT (at a rate of 20%) is payable when you instruct us. Nevertheless, it is important to note all applications made from outside the UK do not usually need to pay VAT and those in the UK usually do.

Interpreters

These are difficult to estimate. You can bring a friend or another community figure to come and help interpret. If a document requires translation, we will obtain fees for the certified translation and confirm this to you. Please note you do not have to use an interpreter of the firms choosing and are welcome to get the translation done by yourself as long as it is done in the required manner and has a certificate confirming the certification credentials needed.
